Ingredients
- 16 oz. Ronzoni Whole Grain Thin Spaghetti
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp. each salt and pepper
- ⅓ cup dry white wine
- 1 ½ cups tomato sauce
- ½ cup clam juice
- 1 lb. large peeled deveined shrimp, tails removed
- 8 oz. calamari rings
- ¼ cup thinly sliced fresh basil
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well, reserving ¼ cup cooking liquid.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet set over medium heat; cook onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper for 3 to 5 minutes or until onion is slightly softened. Stir in wine; bring to boil. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce and clam juice; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened slightly. Stir in shrimp; cook for 2 minutes. Stir in calamari; cook for 1 minute.
- Add pasta and reserved cooking liquid to skillet, tossing until well coated and calamari just starts to curl and is cooked through (do not overcook). Stir in basil.
