Ingredients
- 16 oz Ronzoni® Cavatappi
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup carrot, chopped
- ½ cup celery, chopped
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¾ lb extra lean ground beef
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp fresh oregano leaves
- ½ tsp salt
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat; add carrot, celery, onion, and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until tender.
- Add ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and salt; heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions.
- Toss hot cooked pasta and sauce; sprinkle with cheese.

For a leaner dish, switch the ground beef for ground turkey.
