Ingredients
  • 16 oz Ronzoni® Cavatappi
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup carrot, chopped
  • ½ cup celery, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¾ lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano leaves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat; add carrot, celery, onion, and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and salt; heat to boiling.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions.
  6. Toss hot cooked pasta and sauce; sprinkle with cheese.

Pro Tip

For a leaner dish, switch the ground beef for ground turkey.
